Getting Here:

General thoughts:

We recommend that your either drive your own car or fly and take one of the public transportation options below.  You will probably not have much need for a car during your week here.  We will have a van to get around in, and a car as well for field trips and errands.  If you want to spend more time in the area before or after the camp, you could rent a car in Boulder for just that time.

By Air:

Denver International Airport is the closest airline destination.  It is located approximately 2 hours from the camp.  Plan to take a bus  or shuttle to downtown Boulder  and let us know your arrival time.  We will pick you up in Boulder and bring you the rest of the way here.  There are two viable options: RTD, the public bus system, operates a bus called the AB which will bring you to the Boulder bus terminal at 14th and Walnut for a cost of $10 one way.  Super Shuttle,(for example; there are several other shuttle companies) will bring you from the airport to the Hotel Boulderado in downtown Boulder for what they call an "approximate fare" of $19 one way.    RTD is less expensive and perfectly fine, though a bit slower; they run every hour, and there schedule can be found at www.RTD-Denver.com.  The shuttle companies have a counter in the airport near the top of the escalator from the terminal train.  Super Shuttle's web site is www.supershuttle.com.

Driving:

If you have a car, or rent one at the airport, start by getting to Boulder.  Then, download and consult the driving directions map for directions to the camp.
